'A Transformational Testimonial' - Getting Coached With Clare? It Changed My Life - with Special Guest Dave Wilmot
What a Joyous Celebratory Episode I have for us all this week - I welcomed one of my coaching group alumni Dave Wilmot onto the podcast to share his truly Transformational Testimonial with you all.
Dave has a remarkable story of losing 4-5 stone; not once but twice between 2008-2018 and getting to Slimmers World UK finals. But each time regaining the weight and lockdown created a new additional challenge. In 2022, Dave was 5 stone over the weight he wanted to be. Dave was needing to use a wheelchair due to chronic back pain and was really scared that "this might be it" for his health story.
But, then a surprising turn of events happened: the problem of being given a pre-type 2 diabetes diagnosis became the health opportunity Dave didn't see coming. He said yes, showed up to session 1 and I was waiting there to greet him into one of my coaching groups.
So begins a story of how a health coach and coachee can have a powerful co-creation of healthy lifestyle change. Dave explored the options, the choices, the actions, and with coaching support went forwards to finally fulfil sustainable behaviour change across multiple Health Habits resulting in this testimonial based episode.
I'm so proud to be Dave's coach and enjoyed the part I played in helping him along his way towards a new way of healthy living, empowered self-management of his health & life and the beginning of a whole new chapter.
